In České Budějovice, we can recommend Honza Krob’s cooking school, Fine Food Academy, where the rule is: what you cook, you also eat. We can teach groups of up to 40 people local specialties and international delicacies in a fun way. A fully equipped kitchen and social space are ready for participants.

Since we are a beer region, you will find many microbreweries as well as large breweries here, such as Samson and Budvar. At the Budvar brewery in České Budějovice, you can visit the production site of this world-renowned gem and see the birth process of “Czech gold” directly in operation. You can also look forward to a tasting in the local cellars. In addition to the production facility itself, you can visit the multimedia visitor center. The oldest brewery in Budějovice, Samson, can even be visited as part of a boat trip along the Malše River from the center of České Budějovice. During the cruise, you will learn many interesting facts not only about the brewery but also about the city’s history. On-site, a 1.5-hour tour of the historical and modern parts of the brewery with professional commentary awaits you. Also worth a visit is the Solnice brewery and restaurant, located in the historic building of the same name in the center of České Budějovice. The brewery brews unfiltered and unpasteurized beer, which is transported to the restaurant’s beer tanks via a special beer pipeline running under Piarist Square.
