The Conference Centre of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic is located in the historic building of the Empire chateau in Nové Hrady in South Bohemia. It is a part of the academic and university centre of the Institute of Nanobiology and Structural Biology CVGZ of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
The conference centre provides training, external meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops. Since its inception in 2001, many domestic and foreign conferences have been successfully held here. For these scientific and educational meetings, the conference centre has extensive conference, social and accommodation facilities in the chateau building.
The building was built by the Buquoy family in the early 19th century – and in the past served as a manor house. The mirror hall and the theatre hall, blue saloon, library, computer classrooms and laboratories can be fully used for lecture purposes. The chateau park (also a part of the area) can make for many pleasant breaks or evenings in Nové Hrady.
