Trail through the Toulava Region along the Lužnice valley
There is no better cure for the soul or for uniting a team than a proper hike through beautiful nature. Take the first (and so far only) walking trail in the Czech Republic to be included in the list of the best trails in Europe (Leading Quality Trails Best of Europe).
The hiking trail through the Toulava region along the Lužnice valley is 55 km in total. The trail starts at Planá nad Lužnicí, via Tábor and Bechyně it then continues in a magical deep river valley along castle ruins and old mills to Týn nad Vltavou.
The trail is divided into 4 day stages. So you don’t have to walk the entire trail, but can choose a shorter section. The most popular and oldest part of the trail (built in 1899) is the section from Tábor to Příběnice (12 km) and then to Bechyně (30 km).
The trail is associated with a competition quiz that is built into the trail, and you can play it by dividing into teams.
The return journey can be made by train – along the oldest electrical line (built by the inventor František Křižík).
We arrange:
- Tell us about your group size and trail-difficulty requirements, and we’ll plan the most suitable trail for you.
- For each participant, we have a trail map with information about attractions and a play card for the competition quiz.
- Upon agreement, we will provide refreshments along the trail as desired in the legendary tourist cottage Příběnice (12 km from Tábor).
- We will recommend you suitable accommodation.
- We will arrange special activities for you along the trail:
- Boat rental and canoeing on the river along part of the trail
- Guided tours of the town of Bechyně, including the chateau and the monastery
- Ride to Tábor or Bechyně by the historic electric train ‘Bobinka’
- Rock climbing course near Lužnice (only for small groups of people)
