The Scent of the Krušlov Bee House
Here, the air is filled with the fragrance of the Šumava region and honey. The most beautiful carved bee house in the world is located in the village of Krušlov. The bee house grounds offer panoramic views of Šumava and facilities for various events. Do you know how long a bee lives or what it likes?
As part of the program, you can take part in guided tours about beekeeping, honey production, and even try hands-on experiences such as honey extraction.
Close to the bee house is a bee-themed educational trail featuring interactive elements along the route. The trail is easy and approximately 2 km long. You can also buy honey directly on site.
The creator of the bee house, Mr. Mach, would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year. He spent his entire active life carving the bee house—just as he spent his life celebrating bees.
